How to Meditate Workshop

What is meditation? Why practice it? Which techniques are best? How do I do it? Join Buddhist nuns Ven. Sangye Khadro (Kathleen McDonald), author of the well-known book, How to Meditate, and Ven. Tenzin Tsepal of Sravasti Abbey for a public talk and two-day meditation workshop to help you answer these often-asked questions.

This course will be of enormous value for anyone who wishes to begin and maintain a meditation practice. Vens. Sangye Khadro and Tsepal bring years of solid experience in both the practice and teaching of meditation and a wealth of practical advice on a variety of authentic techniques, from what to do with our minds, to how to sit, to the importance of balancing stabilizing the mind and analytical techniques. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on personal meditation instruction for beginners and experienced meditators alike.

There is a suggested donation of $10 for the public talk, and $80 for the weekend workshop, but we do not charge for teachings. Donations cover our expenses and offering to the teachers.
