Public Talk: The Value of Cherishing Others

When we recognize the short-comings of cherishing the self and the benefits of cherishing others, we can begin to experience genuine happiness. We can follow a logical process to learn that we will not find happiness through ourselves, but rather through cherishing others.

Sunday February 25
10am-Noon
Weekend Workshop: The Workshop is the Mind

We all have extraordinary potential to cultivate our minds. We have the potential to lessen fear, depression, anxiety, neediness, low self-esteem and to grow love, contentment, compassion, clarity, courage and other positive qualities. This potential exists in our minds. In this two-day workshop, Venerable Robina explores the nature of the mind and its importance in the study and practice of Buddhism.

Monday February 26 7 pm
Public Talk: The Value of Cherishing Others

The main reason we cant cope with problems is because of our attachment, a deep emotional hunger for things to be the way we want them. Attachment cant stand it when things go wrong. When this happens, aversion arises the entire spectrum from anger to depression and despair. But we can learn to get in touch with it, understand it, and counteract it. The result? Courage, contentment, and fearlessness.
